Weight loss plateaus happen to the best of us. The most important thing to do in these situations is assess your recent health choices and be honest about it. Equally as important, you should answer the question, “How long have I been on this plateau?” If it has been less than a week, you need to be patient for a bit longer before you freak out, or even worse, give up.
If it has been more than two weeks, then you should carefully consider every aspect of your daily living. What have you been eating? Have you been eating too much or too little? Yes, not eating enough can stop you from losing weight! Have you been drinking water? Avoiding refined sugars, grains, and processed foods? Do you exercise? How often? Can you increase the intensity of your workouts? What about your stress and sleep levels? Remember those can affect your weight as much as anything else.
